GTA 6 Leaker Continues Taunting With Fresh Footage Of Hyper-Realistic Streets

Another day, another unofficial Grand Theft Auto VI clip appears online courtesy of the memecoin-grifting Cyberleek. This time the footage shows off the games driving, and once again—no doubt to 2K and Rockstars fury and chagrin—it has me more excited than ever to finally play this game. It looks damned good, even in the weird lighting choice of the gloaming.
If you want to see the clip, at the time of this writing its available to watch here , and will likely be popping up all day long on X and Reddit as 2Ks legal snipers try to knock them back down. It begins with Jason (why is it always Jason?) jacking a car at an intersection in that very familiar GTA way, although this time with so much more detail. He tries the handle, tugs twice, concludes its locked and smashes the driver-side window with his elbow, reaching in to pull up the lock and yank open the door. The driver, quite reasonably, doesnt seem down with this, and Jason has to drag him out.
He then tears off in the fancy car, driving down the city streets at what looks like early dusk. Its an odd lighting choice for showing off the game, given how much is in gloomy shadows, but it also demonstrates just how absolutely stunning GTA 6 is looking, with the precise and subtle lighting on every car and road reflector. Yesterday we were wowed by the scale and detail of a large section of the map we saw from a plane Jason was flying, and today we get to be equally impressed at the borderline photorealistic quality of the streets up close. Its proving to be quite the advertising campaign for a game that is officially so incredibly reluctant to do so.
And damn, those puddle reflections. They are beyond belief. Oh, and Im obliged to also point out that Kenneth really likes the two songs you hear in the clip. I mean, if you like those songs, you can listen to them on Tidal whenever you want, but also, GTA games are legendary for their soundtracks, and its good to know this ones already hitting. (Im waiting to find out if it features any Mountain Goats or The Beths, personally.)
Driving them crazy
Its notable how careful and competent the driving is in this clip. Theres no crashing into barriers or rear-ending other cards, suggesting someone whos familiar with the controls, and certainly looking less erratic than the previous leaked footage featuring vehicles.
2K and Rockstar are remaining stroppily silent since this outbreak of leaked clips commenced, although we now know theyre on a legal warpath trying to find the culprit, subpoenaing records from Microsoft and Discord . The silly twerp is only making it worse for themselves by using every leak as an attempt to profit from some dumbass crypto memecoin, and releasing a two-minute clip every day ahead of the official reveal on Netflix on August 27 is sure to be making 2K incandescent with fury.
We still dont know how the clips are sourced. Yesterdays footage ended with Jason spraying the word LEEK into a wall with bullets, heavily implying this person has a playable build, but there are still other possibilities. It could be that a tester is willingly participating with this leaker based on a small slice of the game, and that could explain the weirdness of the times of day or the lack of any footage showing the other player character, Lucia Caminos. Next weeks Netflix reveal is going to be verywell, revealing, if any of this footage coincides. Meanwhile, what do you reckon well see tomorrow? Im hoping for some proper chaos.
