Anime GTA 6 Killer Ananta Finally Has A Release Date And A Slick New Trailer

Ananta Anime Gamescom 2026 NetEase Open world RPG
Even if you havent been paying attention to Ananta , youve probably heard tell of the anime Spider-Man meets Grand Theft Auto: Vice City open-world RPG or caught a glimpse of one of its viral trailer clips at some point over the last few years. Well, we finally have a release date: January 15, 2027.
We also have another excellent trailer, this time set to the 1992 hit single Dreams by the Cranberries:
Ananta is being made by NetEase developer Naked Rain, and its a free-to-play release straddling console, PC, and mobile platforms. It looks like one of those AAA games out of China that somehow runs on everything and looks way too good to be true, and maybe it is, but at least it doesnt have gacha elements like the free-to-play anime RPGs it resembles.
So what do you actually do in Ananta ? Well, you play as a supernatural investigator called an Infinite Trigger who traverses a mystical urban world through a variety of mechanics and mini-games that include everything from swinging around like Spider-Man to stealing cars and racing down the freeway. The latest trailer is another sizzle reel of tons of different gameplay ideas and funny moments. As long as its not a grind and a half to play, it could be a lot of fun.
